Needed a spare charger for travel with the iPad. This one works great! Also use it for the wife's iPhone and Kindle Fire (using a different USB cable); also charges my LG cellphone (also using the same cable as my wife's Kindle Fire). I guess this really depends on the seller, but I received a perfectly functional genuine adapter that was fairly priced. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THE PEOPLE THAT ARE SELLING FROM HONG KONG. IT IS GUARANTEED TO BE FAKE AND DEFECTIVE. I cannot stress this enough, but there are several people that are shipping this from Hong Kong. Pay close attention to the buyer before paying.
